The CAP-G scholarship is for graduate, professional, and international undergraduate students and funded by the Office of Child Care and Family Services.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a CAP-G scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Current enrollment in degree-seeking coursework as a graduate student, professional student, or international undergraduate student
  • Use paid child care services while attending classes or working
  • Demonstrate high financial need
  • Meet standards for satisfactory academic progress (SAP)
  • Claim the dependent child on tax return or have custodial care at least 50% of the time

How to Apply

CAP Scholarship applications are accepted online from August 1 through May 1 each academic year, or until all funds have been awarded.
 
Applicants must upload supporting documentation as part of the application. We encourage you to have the following documents ready before you begin:
  • Class schedule
  • Transcript/Academic record
  • Financial aid offer letter
  • Tax return/Form 1040 for most recent tax year (please BLACK OUT social security/tax ID numbers and banking information)
  • Graduate assistants: Letter of Intent for current appointment
  • International students: Form I-20
  • Two parent households: If the other parent is also enrolled as a student, you will need to submit their class schedule and Letter of Intent (if they are a graduate assistant). You will also need their most recent tax return (if you filed separately).

Applications are reviewed and scored in the order they are received. You will be notified within 7-10 business days whether you have been awarded a CAP-G scholarship.
