The CAP-G scholarship is for graduate, professional, and international undergraduate students and funded by the Office of Child Care and Family Services.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a CAP-G scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Current enrollment in degree-seeking coursework as a graduate student, professional student, or international undergraduate student
  • Use paid child care services while attending classes or working
  • Demonstrate high financial need
  • Meet standards for satisfactory academic progress (SAP)
  • Claim the dependent child on tax return or have custodial care at least 50% of the time

How to Apply

Applications for CAP-G scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year are currently CLOSED. The application for 2026-2027 scholarships will open by August 14. 

To apply for a CAP-G scholarship, you will need the following documents:

  • Completed PDF application
  • Tax return (Form 1040) for most recent tax year
    • If you did not file a tax return: Explain the reason you did not file in your application
  • Two parent households: You will need the other parent's most recent tax return (if you filed separately)
  • International students: Form I-20

Applications will be reviewed and scored in the order they are received. You will be notified within 7-10 business days whether you have been awarded a CAP-G scholarship.
