For School-Age Children

For families with school-age children who do not need child care year-round, camps may be a convenient option for providing structured activities during school breaks and summer months. Camps may offer a variety of enriching experiences, including sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs.

The camps and programs here are not licensed child care services regulated by Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, and Iowa State University does not endorse any specific program.

Families are strongly encouraged to thoroughly assess the qualifications, abilities, and background of any caregiver before enrolling their child. This includes checking references, reviewing experience, and understanding the safety protocols in place to ensure a positive and secure environment for their children. This is not an exhaustive list but a sample of local resources.
