How to Apply
- The CAP Scholarship Application is available in a fillable-PDF at the buttons below and online via OneApp (search for "Childcare Assistance Program").
- Completed PDF applications must be emailed to ccfamily@iastate.edu.
- You will need to submit a copy of last year's tax return (Form 1040 only) with your application.
- If you did not file a tax return for the previous year because you did not earn any (or not enough) income, include that information in your essay.
- International students receiving a stipend for living expenses from their home country must submit either Form I-20 or a letter from the sponsor stating the amount of the stipend.
- If you are married or living with a partner, you will also need to submit the above documents for your Spouse/Partner, as applicable.

CAP-U is for undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applications for CAP-U scholarships are accepted until all funds have been awarded but no later than May 1. Applicants will be notified of award decisions within 7-10 business days after a complete application is received. If/when all funds have been awarded, this page will be updated and the application removed from the site.
CAP-G is for graduate students, professional students, and international undergraduate students. Due to limited funding, CAP-G applications are only accepted August 1 - September 30 each year. Applicants are notified of award decisions no later than October 15.
